The 2011 Community Information Technology Workshop (CITW): Social Media For Nonprofits is designed to expand one's knowledge of Social Networking services and teach how nonprofit organizations can get the most value from these powerful tools. With hundreds of millions of Internet users connecting with others and with their interests through these kinds of services, every organization can better connect with their stakeholders and communities with an understanding of how to use social media.
The CITW workshops are an ongoing effort to promote technology learning in the Centre County nonprofit community. The current workshop is being produced by members of Schlow Library, C-NET, the CSCL Lab in the College of Information Sciences & Technology, WPSU, Penn State's Information Technology Services, and the Centre County Community Foundation.
